Dark night

In the short time that I've been blogging the sudden disappearance of some of the best blogs mystified me. Yes, I completely deleted one of my own, but only because it was embarrassingly bland and boring. Now I think I am beginning to understand. Uranus has hit the square of Pluto to my Sun, Neptune squares my Ascendant and  a  wave of depression more intense than I have ever known has struck over the last few weeks. All my remedies and spiritual practices are as nought against it - I  am quite simply, floored!  Of course life goes on, I go through the motions. Saturn opposing my Venus reminds me every minute that I have obligations to those I love, to the building we now call 'home' and to the horrendous financial situation in which like so many others, we find ourselves.    I have been so happy to share the good parts of my life with you all and your lovely blogs have and will continue to sustain me and hopefully I will continue to comment on them but for now it's 'au revoir'. I 'have the Pluto' as they say on ElsaElsa. Usually I express extremes of emotional distress by destroying my own creations. I can't begin to tell you how many hours of work and love have gone up in flames or off to the landfill. Not this time - I can't delete this because you are all here and I love you . No goodbyes then, God bless you all, Morvah x

A glorious but very windy walk up onto the moor yesterday.  The  stones at Nine Maidens being the only things still enough to photograph really!    The Alberic Barbier roses are at their most beautiful now - my favourites!    First picking of Mange Tous and Broad Beans this weekend  mmmm!  Hope all this gardening isn't too boring, I wish you were all here to share it !

Mainly Roses

I have yet to identify this lovely red rose which we rescued last year from the site of a client's new conservatory where it was starving, dry and unloved. Now it looks gorgeous between Purple Sage and the blowsy Oriental Poppies.

Distractions

A belated visit to  the alottment yesterday was shocking! Whilst we've been busy moving house Mother Nature has been having a party.Scraggy blackbirds have been feeding my strawberries to their fat children, the hawthorn hedge has grown almost a foot and weeds abound. It wasn't long before my 'orderly gardener' perception gave way to the usual delight however and I spent a productive morning digging a cabbage patch for the sprouts and kale that are clamouring for space.

ODD?

This morning at work, I'm cleaning the local Chapel; Hoovering away, when I hear a text come in to my phone. Reaching into my pocket I remember that I left it charging at home. I am convinced enough that I have heard it that I note the time is 9:20.     Later at lunch I remember the phone and tell Mr Leo about the incident, saying that if I had a text at 9:20 something spooky was happening. The hair rises on the back of my neck as I see that a text has indeed come in - just from my Taurus daughter saying 'MMM, First Strawberry! x' The time? 9:21! Anyone else getting this kind of thing?

Beltane

Beltane at Sancreed Holy Well - overwhelmingly lovely.

Boxes

There were times during the last week when I would have settled for a box myself, though things are beginning to feel a bit like home. We both lost our socks for a whole week which was distressing, but all essential items have thankfully been located at last! It's great to be back online but there is enough work here to keep us busy forever so repotting the last of the tomatoes had better take priority over blogging today.
