Distractions

A belated visit to  the alottment yesterday was shocking! Whilst we've been busy moving house Mother Nature has been having a party.Scraggy blackbirds have been feeding my strawberries to their fat children, the hawthorn hedge has grown almost a foot and weeds abound. It wasn't long before my 'orderly gardener' perception gave way to the usual delight however and I spent a productive morning digging a cabbage patch for the sprouts and kale that are clamouring for space.

  1. What a happy piece! We've finally decided to make our mark here and been planting herb garden, fruit, flowers and shrubs: beginning to understand... ;-) Glad to find you sounding happy. Alice xxx

  2. Alice! Great to see you again. Yes, I can't help being happy when I'm in garden conciousness, hope you will find the same - how exciting to be starting anew. I've been having a quick look at your new blog and will be back for a longer read when I have a minute!
The new house is gradually becoming familiar, it's good to have more space but the work ahead is a little daunting! The weekend was swallowed up by restoring the greenhouse to a healthy and clean place for our tomatoes and chillies, leaving us tired, scratched and filthy but glowing with satisfaction! Blogger has it's days; sometimes it's a piece of cake, other times it won't even let me comment and outrageously eats people's words. You have arrived safely however on this occasion so Bravo and do call again!

  4. Thanks lila (big grin!) I love this way of sharing our feelings with one another - I love the tenderness of your pictures, the spirituality of Sy's adventure in seeing and the huge generosity of so many sharing their visions in the great revelation of these days. Morvah xox

  6. Hi Kashmiri, yes, isn't he just scrummy? The bees always enjoy the comfrey so it never gets harvested until the flowers are over, all wrong but what can you do?
Hi Smiley, thanks, I could spend all day just watching bees on comfrey - its so peaceful.
